A Top Spot

This delightful Hornby Island home is adjacent to Whaling Station Bay but set on its own 20 acres with 1200 feet of walk on waterfront, with ocean side meadows backed by old growth forest. It is a short walk to the sands of the Bay for swimming or you can relax on one of our beaches in solitude.

A trail leads through the old growth forest to the Helliwell Park entrance or you can walk thru the meadows, exit our property at the fence line, walk the beach and enter the park.

There are 2 bedrooms; the master bedroom has a queen size bed and its own deck on the waters edge. The entrance to the bedroom has been know as the office, the sewing room, computer room-whatever the occupants are currently interested in. The second bedroom has 2 single beds.

There is one bathroom with a shower.

The living room is a few steps down from the kitchen and dining nook and has windows from wall to wall, facing the water. The living room has a Pacific Energy wood stove and 2 base board heaters for when it’s a cool summer’s day.

There is a flat screen TV, DVD, ipod docking station and CD player.

The kitchen has the usual frig, stove, toaster, coffee maker, coffee grinder, waffle iron and all pots and pans and dishes and cutlery. We have good drinking water and it use straight from the tap.

On the same level and beside the kitchen is the dining nook which seat 6 easily and can comfortably do 8.It has windows on 5 sides, overlooking the main deck and the water.

The house has a warm, light, friendly feeling.

Laundry facilities are available in a separate building.

On the deck is a BBQ, picnic table, umbrella and assorted outdoor chairs.
